A smooth driving, high-end electric scooter with an impressive range and a pep in its step

The G4 is an all-around crowd-pleaser. It offers a reliable range and a smooth ride. Power-wise, it holds its own on most uphill terrain, and the dual brake system helps us feel comfortable and in control on even steep descents. We loved riding this compact transportation device. If you're willing to shovel out a little extra cash for a scooter you will use frequently, we don't think you'll be disappointed.
For what it is, the Gotrax GXL V2 Commuter electric scooter is impressive. We’re giving it a 4.5 out of 5 as a last-mile budget commuter scooter. The tires are a highlight, as well as the water-resistant frame, fast speed, and dual-braking system. The built-in handlebar display has all the info you need, and it’s about as light as a scooter of this level could be. We do wish the lighting was better, though, which is why we docked half a star. You can easily fix that by buying a helmet light and attaching a tail light. It’s a solid electric scooter for teens and adults alike.
An upgrade from the previous GXL V2 model, the Gotrax XR delivers much more of a consistent ride. Whereas the V2 offers an average range of 9-12 miles, whilst the XR delivers a much more consistent 12 mile range. Although still a definite upgrade, the overall performance of the V2 and XR are pretty similar; and we think Gotrax know that, pricing the Gotrax XR very fairly. The Gotrax XR also allow riders to adjust speed settings to suit their needs, great for riders of varying skill levels and suitable for beginners and pros alike. With these features and at this price, we believe the XR an incredibly cost effective escooter model suitable for all manner of needs.
