Cruising around on the Vestar Black Hawk GTR 2 gave me plenty of thrills along with reliable day-to-day serviceability – a combination that isn't easy to find in high-performance e-skateboards today.

Ready to hit the pavement with something that packs a punch and can handle your daily grind or weekend adventures? The Vestar Black Hawk GTR 2 is tailored for thrill-seekers and practical commuters alike. If you crave speed and reliability on your rides, this e-skateboard has got your back. However, if you prefer a more leisurely pace or have a tight budget, this powerhouse might not align with your needs.
Right out of the box, the Vestar Black Hawk GTR 2 exudes robustness with its solid construction. Its elegant design, coupled with high-quality materials, left a lasting impression on me. Even the grip tape held up nicely after several sessions. Deck flex was minimal, offering stability at higher speeds but enough give for a comfortable ride. Assembly? Non-existent; this beast came ready to roll.
Performance-wise, this board doesn't shy away from a challenge. Acceleration felt like launching off the starting line, making my morning commutes an adrenaline-fueled escape. The top speed of 44 km/h was exhilarating – though not for the faint of heart! Braking was crisp and responsive, instilling confidence in dense traffic. Long-distance trips were no sweat either; battery life kept me cruising without constant range anxiety.
Those twin 2000 W motors aren't just for show – they deliver serious grunt. I powered up hills without any hesitation from the motors. Battery performance matched manufacturer claims closely, sustaining multiple outings before needing a recharge. I pushed it hard across various terrains, and it still managed to maintain impressive battery life.
Riding over rough patches felt smoother than anticipated thanks to the wheels' decent size and quality urethane. However, sharp rocks did test their limits occasionally. Braking power was strong without being jarring, ensuring quick stops when necessary – crucial for urban escapades where split-second decisions matter.
From zigzagging through crowded streets to taking on open boardwalks, handling was intuitive and precise. Carving felt natural; transitioning weight from side to side was effortless, providing an engaging ride every time I stepped on.
Tinkering for routine maintenance wasn't daunting – tightening bolts and cleaning were all straightforward tasks I managed myself. When dealing with wear-and-tear issues, replacement parts were readily available online. Customer service was approachable when needed but fortunately wasn't required beyond basic inquiries.
Let's talk remote control – it fit snugly in my hand, offered smooth throttle modulation, and had clear indicators for battery life which were genuinely useful during longer rides. Electric gauges on the board itself allowed quick checks mid-ride without fumbling around.
Considering everything I experienced with the Vestar Black Hawk GTR 2 – from its thunderous power down to its intuitive controls – I'd give it an 8/10. Why not higher? While it's an excellent board overall, there's always room for improvement in terms of comfort over extremely rough surfaces.
