Product Overview

Rolling through the city on the Lycaon TRX, I quickly realized this e-skateboard is tailored for enthusiasts craving speed and distance. High-speed thrill seekers and long-distance riders will find its capabilities especially appealing, while those looking for a casual stroll might deem its power excessive.

Design and Build Quality:

First impressions do count, and the Lycaon TRX exudes robustness right out of the box. Crafted with attention to detail, its deck provides stability and comfort during rides. Deck materials felt premium underfoot, reassuring me of longevity. Assembly, well, there wasn't much fuss there — setup was straightforward and I hit the pavement in no time.

Overall Performance:

Performance is where this beast shines. Zipping through traffic at 28 mph felt exhilarating; acceleration was smooth yet forceful enough to push the adrenaline envelope. Climbing hills posed no significant challenge; power was always on tap. Brakes were responsive – vital for a ride this quick – instilling confidence during sudden stops. And as for range, hitting near the 25-mile mark consistently allowed for extensive exploring without range anxiety.

The Motors & Battery:

Dual belt-driven motors deliver torque that had me grinning ear to ear. Whether it was flat surfaces or inclines, the motors didn't falter. Battery life stood up to the test too – specs didn't overpromise. Even after rigorous sessions across various terrains, recharging times matched up with expectations, making it convenient for daily use.

The Wheels & Braking:

Wheels make or break a ride's quality; thankfully, these wheels made my experiences glide smoothly over less-than-perfect roads. Braking was equally impressive, responsive without being jarring — crucial when navigating busy streets or avoiding unexpected obstacles.

Overall Handling:

Handling proved to be intuitive on different surfaces – from asphalt to concrete – maneuverability remained top-notch. Comfort wasn't sacrificed either; rides were joyously rattle-free which speaks volumes about its shock absorption capabilities.

Maintenance and Repair:

No significant maintenance issues arose during my time with the Lycaon TRX. The brand seems supportive with repair needs although I didn't need to test this personally. While parts appeared readily available online, thankfully my toolkit remained untouched.

Additional Features:

Extra perks like the quality remote control and electric gauges seamlessly blended into daily usage, providing convenience at my fingertips. Safety features were not overlooked either, contributing peace of mind with every outing.

Rating:

Considering all factors — performance, design quality, and additional features — I'd rate the Lycaon TRX an impressive 8/10. Deductions are minor: weight could be lighter and water resistance stronger but these are overshadowed by its stellar performance.

Lycaon Boards pride themselves on listening to riders feedback and in this build custom designing their own moulds for their new 40” Carbon Fibre Deck as well as finishing it with a matt fine weave Carbon Fibre sexy racing look. Together with custom designing their brand new Trucks from a new Forged Process. this is rather special. The overall build, robustness and heavy duty feel it’s quite refreshing, there’s no mistake here , this is a premium product. If you’re in the market to get a high-quality medium priced Carbon All Terrain Urban Crosover Dual Belt Drive EBoard that has performance and torque that holds up very well to the big boys at nearly half the price, you cannot go past the Lycaon Carbon TRX.
