Balancing functionality with simplicity can be challenging but Ninebot manages this well with the E25E model. While power aficionados might yearn for more torque on inclines or long trips, daily riders will find this e-scooter a faithful companion around town's twists and turns.

Product Overview

Ninebot E25E caters to urban commuters and electric scooter enthusiasts searching for a reliable and efficient mode of personal transportation. This electric scooter strikes a balance between performance and portability, making it a solid choice for those navigating city streets and looking for a clean alternative to public transport.

Design and Build Quality:

Upon unboxing the Ninebot E25E, I immediately noticed its polished design, which combines practicality with a modern aesthetic. Crafted from high-quality materials, this scooter exudes durability without compromising on style. The matte finish handlebar and deck provide a non-slip surface that enhances grip during rides. Assembly was minimal – just attaching the handlebars – and I found it refreshingly straightforward.

Overall Performance:

Riding the Ninebot E25E through bustling cityscapes was a breeze. Its top speed of 25 kph allowed me to keep pace with urban traffic, while the 300w motor provided enough oomph for some light thrill riding in open areas. When tackling hills, the 15% climb ability was decent, though I felt power wane on steeper inclines. Braking was reliable with the combination of ABS, foot brake, and magnetic systems ensuring safe stops.

The Motors & Battery:

Throughout my daily commutes, the motor's performance was smooth and consistent. However, on longer journeys or when facing steep gradients, I did wish for more power. As for the battery life, I could squeeze out close to the advertised 25 km range on a single charge – quite satisfactory for my short-to-medium length trips. Recharging took about 4 hours as expected, fitting well into my routine.

The Wheels & Braking:

Solid tires are often hit-or-miss but these handled urban debris like champs. They offered peace of mind without worrying about punctures. That said, they transferred more road vibrations compared to pneumatic options, which was noticeable on rougher pavements. The braking system provided confidence-inspiring control in various conditions; however, abrupt stops sometimes felt less smooth than desired.

Overall Handling:

Navigating through tight spaces highlighted the E25E's responsive handling. Spring suspension contributed to a comfortable ride on moderately uneven surfaces, though I did miss additional cushioning when traversing more challenging terrain. For everyday use in relatively good conditions, comfort met expectations.

Maintenance and Repair:

One week is hardly enough to face significant maintenance issues; however, routine checks showed components were easy to access. No direct experience with brand repairs was needed but parts seemed readily available online should future needs arise.

Additional Features:

Integrated lights enhanced visibility during evening commutes – definitely appreciated as someone who values safety highly in my gear choices. There wasn't much need for fancy tech features on daily rides, but having essentials like lighting covered is key for practical use.

Rating:

Considering all factors – design quality, performance and additional features – I rate the Ninebot E25E 7/10.

The Ninebot E25E is a perfect ride for beginners, but seasoned riders who enjoy extra range and speed will have to look somewhere else. Even so, the scooter provides excellent value for money if you’re looking for a machine for short commutes and adventures. So, if you are not planning to circumnavigate the entire city, then you won’t regret buying the E25E electric scooter.

The E25E is a very good electric scooter but I detract half a star because I feel it is slightly too heavy for a performance that equals the ES2 and 1S. But perhaps the biggest question is whether or not it is worth spending the extra money on an E25E or buying the cheaper Xiaomi 1S. The benefits of the E25E over the Xiaomi 1S are mostly down to the superior app and the ability to extend its speed and range with an extra battery (turning it into an E45E). The drawbacks are the aforementioned weight and extra price.
