Product Overview

Passionate riders seeking adrenaline rushes and seamless city commutes, listen up! Metroboard X might just cater to your electrifying lifestyle. This e-skateboard draws adventurers with its promising range and speed, but might not suit globetrotters due to its hefty weight and non-airline-friendly battery.

Design and Build Quality:

Metroboard X exudes robustness with its substantial weight and solid materials. Its deck feels sturdy underfoot, providing confidence during rides. Assembling, although not often necessary, is straightforward, allowing for more time carving streets rather than fiddling with tools.

Overall Performance:

From breezy park rides to beating the urban rush, Metroboard X performs admirably. It zips through streets at a brisk 26 mph, making quick work of commutes. Acceleration is punchy – enough to bring a thrill but controlled enough for safety. Long distances are tackled with ease, thanks to the ample range, while hills become less daunting due to its torque.

The Motors & Battery:

Dual belt drives deliver raw power that translates into a gripping ride experience. However, this power comes with noise that some might find intrusive. Battery life stands true to claims; I've effortlessly hit the upper end of the range on conservative rides, but more spirited sessions see it hovering closer to the 20-mile mark.

The Wheels & Braking:

Wheels roll smoothly over most terrains, minimizing vibrations on rough patches. When it comes to halting momentum, brakes are responsive without being jarring – a crucial factor when navigating unpredictable cityscapes.

Overall Handling:

Navigating tight corners or weaving through pedestrians feels intuitive on this board. It handles various terrains with aplomb, though heavier riders might notice a slight decrease in nimbleness. Comfort remains high across longer jaunts; fatigue is hardly an issue even after extensive use.

Maintenance and Repair:

Self-maintenance on Metroboard X is manageable for those familiar with skate tech. While my interactions were minimal due to its reliability, customer support proved helpful when needed. Parts are available but may require some patience due to demand.

Additional Features:

An intuitive remote seamlessly adjusts speed and braking, ensuring eyes stay on the road rather than fiddling with settings. Electric gauges provide real-time data that's easy to digest mid-ride. Safety features like reliable brakes add peace of mind when darting through busy streets.

Rating:

8/10 - Deductions stem from the noise of belt drives and weight that may deter some users.

Metroboard X Review All Terrain Electric Longboard
eboardsadvisor.com
  • - 4.5
The X model by Metroboard has a serious gorgeous shape that projects a badass impression. It is one of those electric longboards that skaters would love to try. The deck is one of my favorite elements. This is because it has been designed with the user in mind – boxed definition, soft contours, sturdy structure. The motor adds to the overall rating. Well situated at the back of the deck, it is powerful enough to carry up to 135 kg of weight.
