Product Overview

Hitting city streets and breezy boardwalks on the EMOVE Touring, urban commuters and weekend thrill-seekers alike will find a match. Its robust build caters to anyone up to 138 kg seeking a reliable ride with solid range and speed. For those craving off-road adventures, though, this scooter might feel limited.

Design and Build Quality:

Gripping the EMOVE Touring for the first time, you notice its sturdy frame that promises durability. Streamlined contours add an urban chic, fitting seamlessly into a cityscape. A mixed bag when it comes to assembly – straightforward for some, while others may crave clearer instructions. Dual spring suspension catches the eye, hinting at a smooth journey ahead.

Overall Performance:

Zipping through rush-hour traffic or coasting along on a lazy Sunday, performance is commendable across the board. Navigating uphill isn't an issue with its 38% hill climb ability. With a top speed of 40 kph and responsive drum brakes, I've felt both the thrill of velocity and the security of control under my fingertips. Despite its stamina for a 40 km range, battery-intensive conditions like continuous high-speed travel will see that number dip.

The Motors & Battery:

Powering up hills, the 500w motor doesn't falter; yet for seasoned speed enthusiasts, it might lack an extra punch. The battery life is generally true to specs but expect variations based on riding style and terrain. From full juice to depletion over several rides, recharging within 4 hours keeps downtime minimal.

The Wheels & Braking:

Mixed tires adapt well to varying surfaces – from concrete jungles to less beaten paths – but tread cautiously as grip differs from air-filled cousins. The foam-filled innovation shines in puncture-prone areas, though not without adding heft or affecting balance minutely.

Overall Handling:

Ease into bends or weave through obstacles; handling is intuitive enough for newcomers yet satisfying for veterans. Diverse environments pose no threat to comfort levels thanks to adaptable suspension and ergonomic design.

Maintenance and Repair:

Hands-on repairs haven't been daunting with accessible components. Voro Motors upholds their reputation with solid customer service for trickier issues. Replacement parts don't demand exhaustive searches which eases the maintenance load significantly.

Additional Features:

Integrated lights enhance visibility during dusky rides while electric gauges keep vital stats in check without breaking concentration. Safety features are subtly woven into design elements ensuring peace of mind without compromising on aesthetics.

Rating:

A solid 8/10 encapsulates my experience; docking points for slightly underwhelming power for extreme users and balancing quirks with mixed tires.

eMove Touring Review 2021

Bringing our 2021 eMove Touring review to build quality & ease of use. Overall, the build quality & materials used throughout production offer exceptional performance. The previously mentioned LG lithium-ion cells result in a remarkable range and rapid charge time. As we can see from the triple suspension, Voro Motors spared no expense regarding quality. The 2021 model also features a key required voltmeter, handlebar light switch & electric car horn; the latter of which definitely comes in handy when riding on roads. The motor is simply magnificent, offering an impressive amount of power for its size; alongside high-torque and terrific hill-climbing abilities. This unwillingness to compromise on quality is reflected in the near-perfect performance of this model.

This scooter ranks at 8 out of 10 possible points. It is a solid purchase for the features it has at its price. It can support heavier weights, has a decent range and speed, has a triple suspension system, and has a quality build that makes it an all-around good electric scooter. There are minor drawbacks, such as only one rear drum brake but the positives mostly outweigh the negatives for this scooter. This scooter is great for commuters regardless if you’re a new or experienced rider. It has a range of 25 miles, so it could be a viable option for those who live just outside of city limits as well. All in all, the EMOVE Touring 2020 is a great scooter for its price.

The EMOVE Touring is a great scooter for commuters looking for a slightly more powerful ride than budget entry-level models from Hiboy, GoTrax, and Turboant. It also benefits from the best suspension system of any commuter scooter, and its multiple folding mechanisms lend it an ultra-portable design. This machine’s at its best in the playground of the city where it can stretch its legs on smooth, predictable asphalt and concrete surfaces. Whether you’ll rely on it for the last mile of your commute, for recreational rides, or as a A to B solution, the Touring is a reliable, fun scooter from a trusted brand.
