Product Overview

Riding high on the Ownboard Bamboo/Carbon AT for a week was a thrilling experience, tailored for adrenaline junkies and speed enthusiasts who crave adventure on every turn. This e-skateboard isn't just about commuting; it's your ticket to exploring the urban jungle with style and power. It's perfect for riders seeking that sweet rush of wind through their hair on a robust board that can handle a little bit of everything – from cityscapes to grassy knolls.

Design and Build Quality:

Crafting this e-skateboard, designers chose premium materials to endure rough rides while maintaining an aesthetic appeal. With its sturdy bamboo and carbon fiber deck, you get flex and strength in one package. Assembly was a breeze – no need to be a DIY guru to get rolling.

Overall Performance:

Zipping around at speeds up to 24 mph, I found its acceleration impressive. Hills with 30% grades were conquered without breaking a sweat. Braking was responsive, adding confidence to every ride. Whether I traveled the full 19-mile range or just popped out for quick errands, performance remained consistent.

The Motors & Battery:

Dual belt-driven motors packed enough punch for exhilarating take-offs and sustained power across various terrains. Despite heavy use, battery life was true to specs, though six to seven hours of recharge time requires some planning.

The Wheels & Braking:

Rolling on tough wheels meant comfort over cracks and bumps wasn't an issue. Safety during braking felt prioritized – a much-needed feature considering the speeds this beast can reach.

Overall Handling:

Maneuverability was top-notch on both concrete jungles and grassy trails. Turns were smooth, allowing me to weave effortlessly through obstacles. For extended rides, comfort never waned, thanks to the well-designed deck shape.

Maintenance and Repair:

Keeping this board in tip-top shape was straightforward with minimal maintenance needs. When issues arose, customer service proved helpful, though DIY fixes were occasionally necessary due to parts availability.

Additional Features:

Integrated extras like a quality remote control and electric gauges made tracking my ride stats simple while enhancing overall control and safety during each outing.

Rating:

My personal rating stands at 8/10 – knocked down slightly by the long charging times and occasional parts scarcity but buoyed by its stellar performance and durability.

Ownboard Carbon with 7″ Pneumatic Tires Review
indexskateboarding.com
  • - 4.8
The Ownboard Carbon AT is like a more raw version of the Wowgo AT2. It’s slightly lighter which benefits the rider in terms of speed and acceleration, yet it lacks creature comforts like the thick padding foam, and the ability to power on/off from the remote. Being 2kgs less than your competition in a board that is already quite heavy, is a big advantage however and we’re confident that anyone who chooses the Carbon AT will be happy with their purchase. It was my first 7-inch pneumatic board, and I have zero regrets. I highly doubt you will either.
