Product Overview

Electric scooter enthusiasts searching for the ideal blend of speed, power, and rugged design might find their match in the Currus NF. This scooter isn't just about looks; it's built for the serious rider who demands performance from their daily commute or weekend adventures.

Design and Build Quality:

From the get-go, Currus NF's robust frame conveys durability. Its weight, although on the heavier side, ensures stability and reassures that this isn't a toy but a serious mode of transportation. The dual spring suspension system is particularly impressive, absorbing shocks from uneven terrains like a champ. Decked out with quality materials, its pneumatic tires and disc brakes complement the rugged aesthetic while enhancing user safety.

Overall Performance:

As someone who craves adrenaline, I was thrilled by its 64 kph top speed; commuting turned into an exhilarating experience. Surprisingly agile for its build, it tackled steep hills with a 48% climbing ability that didn't disappoint. Acceleration was swift and smooth, making me feel confident during rush hour maneuvers. Even during long rides, I found that battery endurance didn't falter much from the promised range.

The Motors & Battery:

Currus NF's twin hub motors pack a combined 3600w of power. Whether it's darting through city streets or ascending hilly landscapes, the motors deliver without hesitation. I tested battery life rigorously across various conditions and can confidently say it lives up to expectations, offering substantial mileage before needing a recharge – which itself is impressively quick at only three hours.

The Wheels & Braking:

During daily use, wheels and brakes are crucial for not just comfort but safety as well. The pneumatic tires provided a cushioned ride over bumpy surfaces, making commutes less jarring. Braking was responsive and reliable; however, I noticed they required some finesse to master – especially when coming to a halt from high speeds.

Overall Handling:

Handling was surprisingly nimble for such a sturdy machine. Whether navigating crowded sidewalks or taking tight turns at speed, control felt intuitive after getting used to the scooter’s weight distribution. Riding through parks or along boardwalks remained comfortable thanks to its responsive controls and suspension system.

Maintenance and Repair:

Maintenance proved straightforward enough for someone handy with tools; however, sourcing parts took some effort due to their specific nature to this model. Interactions with customer service were decent when needed – issues were addressed professionally although self-repair seemed quicker when feasible.

Additional Features:

Integrating extra features into daily routines revealed their utility: remote control locking system added convenience and peace of mind against theft; electric gauges were accurate for monitoring speed and battery levels on-the-go; lights front and back ensured visibility during night rides, rounding out the safety aspects nicely.

Rating:

Considering all factors – design, performance, features – my personal rating settles at a solid 8 out of 10. Deductions stem from the need for better part accessibility and mastering braking technique which may deter less experienced riders.

All in all, the Currus NF is a decent alternative to the Dualtron 3 and a scooter I would recommend to anyone who is making the switch from gas to electric. It features the iconic Weped frame design combined with Dualtron interiors. With all the parts being carefully manufactured in Korea, I expect the Currus to be a reliable commuter. Just make sure to keep in mind the somewhat limited range of the scooter and the fact that you need to carry two chargers instead of one. If that’s not an issue for you then I’d say the Currus NF is one of the best scooters for the price available today.
