This electric scooter, with its compact frame and promises of efficient city travel, might just be the answer for those looking to zip through streets without breaking a sweat or the bank.

Design and Build Quality:

Crafted from sturdy materials, this e-scooter sports a futuristic vibe that consistently turned heads during my test rides. Assembly was a breeze - no advanced engineering degree required here. While solid tires and lack of suspension make you feel every bump in your path, it's nothing unexpected in a scooter of this class. Nonetheless, the Okai Beetle held up admirably to daily wear and tear.

Overall Performance:

The 350w motor packs enough punch to handle flat surfaces with grace, making my commutes and leisurely cruises enjoyable. Speeds around 25 kph were achieved with ease, though the speedometer seemed slightly optimistic compared to third-party apps. The drum brakes are reliable but can be quite loud when engaged abruptly - something worth noting for those who prefer subtler stops.

The Motors & Battery:

While flat terrains were breezy, inclines did present a challenge; the power just wasn't there for steep hills. Regarding battery life, I found myself coming up short against the promised range when traveling at top speeds consistently or tackling multiple slopes. On average days though, battery performance aligned more closely with specifications.

The Wheels & Braking:

Solid tires make maintenance easy but prepare for a less cushioned ride on uneven surfaces. Braking was effective in most scenarios but could benefit from more finesse to avoid jolting stops.

Overall Handling:

Navigating city streets felt intuitive with its responsive handling; however, comfort over longer rides waned slightly due to the rigid suspension setup. Adapting to different terrains was generally smooth sailing except for those pesky potholes.

Maintenance and Repair:

Maintenance was minimal thanks to the solid tire design - no punctures here! While I didn't experience any major issues necessitating repairs within my week of testing, users should note potential difficulties in obtaining replacement parts should they be needed down the line.

Additional Features:

Lack of built-in lights means aftermarket solutions for night riders are necessary. NFC functionality didn't always cooperate as expected; however, app connectivity provided a decent workaround.
