AeBoard AF

Electric scooters and skateboards are my jam, and when Aeboard announced the AF 30Q Battery for their e-skateboard lineup, I knew I had to get my hands on it. Targeted at riders looking for a blend of performance and portability, this board seems tailored for urban commuters who enjoy an adrenaline rush during their daily rides but also appreciate a board that won't break their back when carrying it around.

Design and Build Quality:

First off, the Aeboard AF has a design that catches the eye – its sleek lines and compact form factor make it look ready for action. During my week with it, what really impressed me was the build quality. It felt sturdy underfoot, handling the rigors of city streets without any worrisome creaks or groans. Made from quality materials, this board gave me confidence in its longevity. Assembly wasn't an issue either; getting it set up was a straightforward process.

Overall Performance:

Performance-wise, this board didn't disappoint. Commuting to work became something I looked forward to – gliding past traffic jams while standing on the stable deck felt freeing. For fun riding, its zippy nature made carving through parks an absolute thrill. Achieving speeds of up to 42 km/h felt exhilarating yet controlled due to the responsive acceleration. Braking was equally impressive – reliable and smooth, which is crucial for safety in unexpected situations. As for range, I consistently hit close to the advertised 23 kilometers, which is ample for most day-to-day needs.

The Motors & Battery:

The dual 250 W motors delivered solid power that didn't falter even when faced with steep inclines – hill climbing was surprisingly effortless. Regarding battery performance, the 216 Wh pack lived up to expectations, providing consistent output throughout each ride. Although heavy users might crave more juice, for my typical usage scenarios – errands and commutes – the battery capacity was more than sufficient.

The Wheels & Braking:

Riding comfort largely comes down to wheel design, and Aeboard got it right with their 90 mm wheels – they absorbed most bumps and cracks with ease. Braking demands respect on such personal electric vehicles; luckily, I found braking on this model both intuitive and effective even at higher speeds, giving me peace of mind during rides in traffic-heavy areas.

Overall Handling:

On various terrains - from smooth bike lanes to cobblestone alleys - handling was a dream. The board felt agile yet stable enough not to throw me off balance when dodging obstacles or making sharp turns. Riding comfort never took a backseat during my testing period.

Maintenance and Repair:

Maintenance was mostly a breeze; keeping things clean ensured smooth operation day after day. When it came to repairs or dealing with issues – fortunately rare occurrences – Aeboard support proved helpful and parts were readily available when needed.

Additional Features:

The inclusion of a quality remote control added precision to my riding experience while built-in electric gauges helped keep track of speed and battery life effortlessly – no unpleasant surprises mid-ride!
